Library and Information Services

Library and Information Services provides reference, research, and legislative information to the General Assembly, its staff, and to the public. The library’s collection consists of 125,000 volumes related to the General Assembly, Maryland laws and regulations, and other reference information of interest to the researcher. 

Library staff also writes, edits, and coordinates the preparation of legislative documents and materials for a diverse audience. Publications include the Committee Meetings and Hearing Schedule, Roster and List of Committees, as well as, during the Legislative Session, the Daily Synopsis. 

Staff also coordinates and conducts educational programs for visitors to the General Assembly.
